REGISTRATION

Participants must possess a confirmed Tathva ID to participate in any event, attend workshop or to avail accommodation. The online registered Tathva ID should be confirmed at the registration desk for the same. Participants should bring a valid college ID as the proof for identity. All the events for which the participant has registered online will be confirmed once the registration procedure is completed. On the spot registration for Tathva ID as well as Events will be provided at the registration desk. Once registered, a participant can take part in any event or free workshop at Tathva. Gaming events registration fees will be separate, and only those with a valid Tathva ID will be able to participate in that. Workshop participants can use their IDs to attend any event at Tathva. Prizes and certificates will be given during de-registration of the participant. For team events, prizes will be handed over to the EVENT TEAM CAPTAIN.

Registration fees: Rs. 200
Hospitality fees: Rs. 50 (Refundable at the return of utilities provided)
Workshops: As per the stipulated fee(No other registration fee required)
Gaming: As per the stipulated fee(After acquiring a valid Tathva ID)

Note: Online provided Tathva ID becomes valid only when it is confirmed at the Registration Desk.

NIT Calicut being a national institute, we have had participants coming in from all over the nation for tathva since its inception in 2001 and we have tried our best to ensure that their brief interlude with our campus was as pleasant as can be.This year too we aim to live up to our reputation and make your stay a comfortable one.Our entire hospitality team is ready to assist you in matters concerning accomodation,registration and partcipation.

GUIDELINES

A sum of Rs 50 has to be paid at the registration desk as cautionary deposit.Receipt of the payment so obtained should be produced at Hospitality desk. Utilities will be provided for groups of 3 or 4(try and come in groups,it will make our job quicker and easier) One of the participants from a group visiting our college has to come forward and be the team hospitality captain.The team event captain and the hospitality captain need not be the same person. All the required utilities for stay for the entire group will be handed over to the respective team captain. Team captain (Hospitality) should return all the utilities provided to his group during de-registration. If the team captain leaves before the other team members another person has to step in.If that happens please do inform us.

FAQ

How is the accomodation facilty provided?
Accomodation along with utilities will be provided in the hostels for both girls and boys. Those participants who are interested in staying overnight may approach the hospitality desk after registration.

What are the prizes?
The prize money for the events will be as mentioned in the site. It will not be subject to any changes.

How do we register for the workshops?
Tathva '12 has many interesting workshops on offer. Those interested in attending these workshops can register online and pay the required sum of money at the registration desk.

HOW TO REACH NIT CALICUT

By Bus:

You can reach NIT Calicut by taxi from the Kozhikode (Calicut) bus station (KSRTC or private bus station) and the taxi fare is approximately Rs. 350/- You can reach NIT Calicut by autoriksha from the Kozhikode (Calicut) bus station (KSRTC or private bus station) and the fare is approximately Rs. 250/-
OR
You can reach NIT Calicut by bus from Kozhikode (Calicut) bus station (KSRTC or private bus station). From these bus stations go to Palayam Bus station by taking an Autoriksha (fare :Rs.10/ ) and take a bus to NIT Calicut (buses to Mukkam, Areekkode, etc. via Kunnamangalam) and get down at NIT Calicut bus stop.

By Rail

Direct trains/ coaches are available from Calicut to the major centres in India which include New Delhi, Jammu Tawi, Gorakhpur, Bombay, Calcutta, Gowhatti, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Madras, Ahmedabad, Indore, Trichy, Mangalore, Trivandrum and Varanasi. The Calicut bound trains take deviation from the main Madras-Cochin route from Palghat Junction or Shornur Junction.
